According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job market for computer network engineering degree holder is expected to grow. Computer networking jobs are forecasted to expand to 385,000 jobs nationwide by 2014, up from 278,000 in 2004 (a growth rate of 38.4%), according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook 2006-07.

May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software.

    Provides technical assistance to computer system users. Answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients. May provide assistance involving the use of computer hardware and software.

  3. Computer Systems Administrator Program
    Has responsibility for the operation of a company's computer equipment, including acquiring, installing, configuring, maintaining, and administering computer resources for a company's smooth operation.

  4. Technical Support Specialist Program
    Provides technical assistance to customers or employees in person or via telephone, email, Internet, fax, etc., on hardware/software operations and troubleshooting.

  5. Help Desk Technician Program
    Is familiar with all aspects of a company's computer hardware, software, or network applications, able to answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and implement remedies by e-mail or over the phone.
